GIZ acts as a technical implementer for the cooperation between Germany and Indonesia. With funding provided by Germany, the GIZ Energy programme provides integrated solutions to Indonesian partners to address their most urgent and important global energy and climate challenges, hereby assisting Indonesia to meet both its international commitments and national targets. GIZ anchors its approach to the wider sustainable development agenda, such as Indonesia’s green economy vision 2045 and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

TransitionZero has partnered with the GIZ Energy Programme Indonesia/ASEAN to support Indonesia in its move towards a sustainable energy system and achieve government targets. GIZ and TransitionZero will promote technical cooperation and foster exchange of knowledge and experience to bolster modelling capacity across Indonesia’s Academic Energy Centers (AECs). This will include access to TransitionZero’s open energy modelling tools and expert training and support.
