The Powering Past Coal Alliance (PPCA) is a coalition of national and subnational governments, businesses and organisations working to advance the transition from unabated coal power generation to clean energy. The Alliance was initiated by Canada and the UK in 2017 and currently consists of 60 governments, 51 local governments, and 71 companies and organisations.

TransitionZero offers expertise in modelling issues related to transmission and the financing of early coal plant retirement by providing systems modelling data and educational support to the PPCA and its member organisations.
