TZ-APG

Open access power systems model of the ASEAN Power Grid

TZ-APG is a multi-country capacity expansion and dispatch model covering ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Built around a 25 node representation of the regional power system, it models generation, transmission, and cross-border trade flows across a 2023 to 2050 time horizon.

TZ-APG is available to use directly in Scenario Builder, TransitionZero's no-code platform for energy transition planning. Full methodology, assumptions, and data sources are available in the APG documentation.

THE PROBLEM

Regional grid investment and planning needs transparent, accessible modelling tools

"I believe ASEAN's energy transition will be shaped by the conversations happening right now, across borders, between planners, governments, and investors. Scenario Builder's multi-country modelling puts a shared, open tool at the centre of those conversations."
Isabella Suarez, Head of Engagement - Southeast Asia.
